In greek we say "There is nowhere like Chalkidiki". And truly there isn't.

Amazing beaches, with silky sand and clear turquoise waters.

Chalkidiki is divided into 3 smaller peninsulas, which we call "legs".

1. The first one (Kassandra) is the most crowded, with cosmopolitan tourist resorts
2. The second one (Sithonia) is more quiet and popular with campers
3. The third one (Agion Oros) is a closed Orthodox monastic community and independant state.

We generally prefer Sithonia for our holidays, but if you're short on time, the beaches in Kassandra can be reached within 20-30min from Thessaloniki. It's easier to rent a car to get around, but you can also reach some places by bus.



Another great escape from Thessaloniki is Pieria and Mount Olympus.

You can combine beach and mountain and do a ton of hiking, canyoning, rafting and climbing. September is considered to be the best month for climbing mount Olympus, a bucket list experience.

If you plan to visit Pieria, we recommend staying a night at Litochoro, a small town on the feet of mount Olympus and Isabella's childhood village.
